Windows 10 lists the device as "High definition audio device". It states that the headset has "Hybrid mesh PRO-G" drivers, so what? Is the product page lying? Is it not possible to install the G Hub drivers onto the G Pro headset? Or am I supposed to order an external USB adapter that doesn't come with the packaging? Does the G Pro headset even HAVE drivers? Is the G Pro headset intended to work without G Hub? Try using the jack on the computer and check if it'll work."īUT again, in the product specification: The headset has "Hybrid mesh PRO-G" drivers but without the G Hub software it cannot install these drivers.īUT this driver cannot be downloaded online and must be obtained through G Hub but G Hub can't detect the headset because apparently you need a USB dongle for G Hub to detect it but it does not come with a USB dongle.Īt the very bottom of the comment chain u/LogitechG_CSJhoe mentions that:"The device only uses the native drivers by the computer. The issue here is that no, the device is NOT fully functional without the software as according to the product specification: Can you please confirm if it is functional though not detected by the software?" To which u/LogitechG_CSJhoe replies: "The device should still work with and without the software. To which another user u/yungwildfreee responds with:"I'm having this same problem, and I'm frankly blown away that you guys are selling this headset knowing full well it wont work. I'm afraid that unless it is connected using the USB Adapter, it will not be detected by the software." Where a comment chain between u/itslqb and u/LogitechG_CSJhoe where the latter states that:"It appears that your device doesn't really have the USB Adapter. It says that the headset has Hybrid mesh PRO-G drivers but I could not find a way to install them using G Hub because I could not get G Hub to recognise the headset.Īnother user u/itslqb had the same problem that I have in this post: I thought that the G Pro headset has 7.1 surround sound (it doesn't) but I couldn't get it to work, I thought this was because maybe I had the wrong drivers installed (the generic windows drivers instead of the G Hub ones) and that maybe it would work if I got G Hub to recognise the headset. So now I want to know if there is a way to install the headset's "Hybrid mesh PRO-G" drivers (which can only be installed using G Hub) or if the product page is lying for some reason and this headset only uses the native drivers. The post had a comment chain that eventually ended with another user saying that the headset is supposed to only use the native drivers on the computer even though in the product page: says that it has "Hybrid mesh PRO-G" drivers. TLDR: I am very confused and do not know how to install the drivers for my G Pro Headset (Not X) because I thought it had 7.1 surround sound (when it doesn't) and then I found out in this post: another user had the same problem as me.
